On July 27, 2005, Kate and I took our first and only trip to Valdez, Alaska. It had been a trip we keep trying to make, but never had the right timing to attempt. On our way down the Richardson Highway, we had a decent day that provided a good view of the Black Rapids Glacier (seen through the cut valley). The small hills in the foreground make up the terminal moraine of the glacier.
