Back in Sicily, I met up with friends on a day we had a party to say bye to one of my closest friends. We were at the home of one of our forecasters. They had a great view of Mount Etna, which at the time was still in eruption since 1991. The eruption was getting more intense as it started to send a lava flow heading toward a town nearby.
