The next day after Innsbruck, Austria, I took the tour from the hotel to Neuschwanstein Castle southwest of Garmisch. This was one of the best places I have ever been to. As we headed up the road toward Neuschwanstein Castle, we passed by Hohenschwangau Castle (seen in this photo). Hohenschwangau Castle is where King Maximilian II, the father of King Ludwig II, lived.
