During the first couple months at Sigonella, I finally got my chance to see an active volcano up close and personal for the first time. Mount Etna was it. I took one of the base tours to the volcano. On the drive up the slopes of the volcano, we passed by many satellite vents in the form of cinder cones as seen here.
