We then headed into Durango, Colorado. The next day we left for the second mapping site, but before we got there we stopped for overall views of the stratigraphy. The image shows the Formations, from top to bottom: Dakota, Morrison, Wanaka, Entrada, Carmel, Wingate, and Cutler.
