2001 State University of New York at Buffalo Geology Field Camp - I left in early May for a 4 week traveling field camp through the U.S. Southwest. SUNY Buffalo was the host school. I was among 40+ students who attended the camp. We all were there to learn proper geology field mapping, stratigraphy, structure, and tectonics. There was a total of 4 major mapping sites plus minor field trips. We all left from Denver, Colorado for the first stop to get an overall regional geology lesson. This took place at Red Rocks State Park, Colorado (pictured).
