Of course the best part of being this far north is the Aurora Borealis. Our first winter was not as bad as either of us would have expected it to be. There was a couple days where it was about -35 to -39 F, and we didn't get as much snow. When it did snow it made everything look very pretty as seen in this shot of the snow up at the GI, as it is called, when it was snowing one day.
