A trip to California in December 2001 was to attend the American Geophysical Union's (AGU) Fall conference and to meet with potential advisors. The day before the conference Kate and I went into San Francisco to see the sights. The first one we saw was Pac Bell Park, now AT+T Park, the home of the San Francisco Giants.
