This is the descriptive sign for "Discovery Hut, Hut Point." It says, "This hut is an historic monument and preserved in accordance with the provisions of the Antarctic Treaty. It commemorates the National Antarctic Expedition of 1901-1904 led by R. F. Scott, who built the hut in February 1902."
