Wednesday, November 17, 2004, was the day of the mid-conference field trip for the attendees. I chose to go on the field trip to the ski lodge area on Villarrica to look at some of the deposits around the volcano, including the lava flow channel from the 1984 eruption. Before leaving for the trip, I got a nice shot of the volcano with the hotel I was staying at (the red buidling) in the foreground.
