I zoom in to Point State Park because of the construction that was going on at the time and since earlier in 2007. There is no grass at this time because a lot of digging up of the ground was being down to "improve" the park. I say "improve" because in my opinion, they are ruining the best part of the park, and that is the actual history of the area. They are burying an actual portion of the old Fort Pitt music bastion to make it more possible to hold concerts on the city side of the Fort Pitt-Fort Duquesne bridge roadway. During the digging, to bury electric lines, they actually dug up more remnants of the old Fort Pitt. They stopped to catalog this stuff, but are burying it as well. The best part of this area of downtown Pittsburgh, is the history of the two forts that once dominated the area (Fort Duquesne and later Fort Pitt). It is very sad when greedy people looking to make a buck have to ruin history in the process.
