One of the several large tufa deposits on this edge and within the lake. Tufa is basically made up of calcium carbonate, otherwise known as limestone. It actually forms in the lake only, but will end up on the lake shore and further inland due to the decreasing lake level from evaporation. This is a dead tufa.
