P6123698 (June 12, 2004) Kate and I flew to Seattle today for the weekend to celebrate our second wedding anniversary. I was a pretty nice day to fly from Fairbanks. We got some cool views of the mountains and some glaciers from the plane as we were over southeast Alaska. P6123698

P6123788 After getting our car and checking into the hotel we headed to the city to hang out before going to the Mariners game that evening. We spent a couple hours at the Aquarium at the harbor front. The animals we liked best were the Sea Otters... P6123788

P6123804Safeco2pan It was finally time to head to Safeco Field to watch the interleague game between the Montreal Expos (in the last year being located in Montreal before moving to Washington D.C. to become the Senators for the 2005 and future seasons) and Seattle Mariners. By the time we got to the game it had started to lightly rain. Luckily, the Mariners have a roof on the stadium, so the game didn't get rained out. P6123819 We also saw some cool things hanging on some of the walls in the ballpark - one being other team logos made from license plates from the states the teams are located in. Here is a photo of the Pirates plate. P6123819
P6123824 Our seats for the game we located in the right field reserved section. We were actually 3 rows up from the right field wall and in fair territory. Unfortunately, no home runs to right field were hit during the game. P6123824

P6123829 The cool thing about being in right field in Seattle is that the former Japanese star Ichiro Suzuki plays there. P6123829
P6123832 The Mariners ended up winning the game 3-0, so that made it a good night. P6123832
P6133845 (June 13, 2004) Today was another nice day, but still rather cloudy. Kate and I headed down to the Space Needle and Science Center area to check it out. We took in two cool IMAX's, one on deep sea volcanoes and the other on Lewis and Clark. We got tickets to the OminMax version of Harry Potter (the 3rd movie) for the next day. P6133845
P6133847 After lunch we went into town and parked for the rest of the day. We walked to the famous Seattle Public Market to see what was there. P6133847

P6133859 As we were walking back, Kate noticed this cool store that I couldn't pass up - Pirates Plunder. I told the guy that worked there that they needed an outlet in Pittsburgh's PNC Park. After killing enough time we walked to the Paramount Theater to take in the Billy Joel musical P6133859
P6143861 (June 14, 2004) Today again started out mostly cloudy, but was getting better than the previous two days. We started out by going to the Museum of Flight near Boeing Field. One of the greatest planes (F-14 Tomcat) from one of the best Fighter Squadrons - P6143861

P6143897 Since the museum was near Boeing Field they had a make-shift looking control tower where you can see the runway. While we were there we got a glimpse of one of the new U.S. Air Force C-17 transport aircraft. P6143897
P6143907 We headed down to the harbor for the third day in a row, this time to take a harbor cruise of Elliot Bay (part of Puget Sound). Here, Kate and I are posing with the city in the background from the harbor cruise. P6143907
