The Burgh's Meteorology Page My interest in all things weather related has been with me probably as long as my interest in volcanoes. This interest was increased when I joined the U.S. Navy as a weather observer. As with the other science pages the main purposes for this page are to give those of you who are new to the science world a small taste of what's out there, and to give those who are already involved in science some other sites to find some cool products and data. Located in Honolulu, Hawai'i.
Naval Maritime Forecast Center
Formerly known as the Naval Pacific Meteorology and Oceanography Center. Located in Pearl Harbor, Hawai'i.
Joint Typhoon Warning Center
Located in Pearl Harbor, Hawai'i for Pacific and Indian Ocean tropical storms and hurricanes.
The Hurricane Hunters
53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron. The only military squadron currently designated to monitor the activity in hurricanes. They operate out of Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi.
